This project has received funding from the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no 320021
The Readi for Health project was represented by FFIS, partner from Murcia, who participated as a trainer in the recent workshop: "New technologies in chronicity and outpatient care. Telemedicine and other uses of ICT "
This workshop is part of a training program that allows attendees to strengthen their knowledge related to leadership, strategy, and the use of new technologies applied to chronicity.
The constant changes fostered by technological advances in the health field force managers to seek new models of leadership and management. Consequently, retraining of these managers is necessary through specific information and training to adapt health systems to environmental opportunities, seeking and establishing new strategies and innovative tools to respond to new demands and scenarios.
During the workshop, 15 participants with the profile of health executives reviewed issues such as the development of ICT in the last 10-15 years and their contribution to chronicity. Through group dynamics the barriers to implementation and opportunities for introducing ICT in ambulatory care were explored.
One of the conclusions of the workshop was that the transformation requires managers with skills in managing change. These topics of discussion were directly linked to the investigation and the conclusions reached by the Consortium in work package 3.
