Interesting presentation by one of the members of the READi consortium at the "Startup Europe Comes to the Regions - SEC2R" event held on 1st October in Brussel

One of the members of the READi consortium, Tanya Suárez recently presented at the Startup Europe Comes to the Regions event held on 1st October in Brussels, outlining the importance of regional implication in supporting connected startup ecosystems.

Well functioning ecosystems can pave the way for eHealth startups to access new markets (part of the Born Global trend that is a precursor of success). Of particular interest at the event was the pre-announcement of the certificate of excellence that the Commission plans to award SMEs that have passed the SME instrument threshold evaluation but have not been selected for funding. The Commission would like Regions to find ways of supporting these innovative  SMEs whose value proposition has already been proven at European level in the highly competitive scheme that is the SME instrument.
